Lisbonne : au-delà des cartes postales
Cette série explore Lisbonne loin des regards touristiques. Entre rues populaires, gestes du quotidien et espaces urbains en mutation, elle révèle la ville telle qu'elle se vit, se travaille et se transforme.
Lisbon : Beyond the postcards
This series explores Lisbon away from tourists gazes. Between popular streets, everyday gestures and urban spaces in transformation, it reveals the city as it is lived, worked and reshaped.

The FESTA DO MAR is one of the most important celebrations in CASCAIS, PORTUGAL.  Both a popular and religious event, it honors the Virgin Mary, the protector of fishermen and sailors.

The maritime parade is a moving prayer at sea. Decorated boats carrying statues of the Virgin sail along the coast, creating a living symbol of the fishermen's lives and their faith. This part of the celebration represents both devotion and the hope for protection and good fortune at sea. The decorated boats that sail carrying statues of the Virgin turn the sea voyage into a moving prayer.

After the boats return to shore, the statues of the Virgin are carried through the streets in a solemn land procession. This symbolizes the people 's devotion to the Virgin Mary, who blesses the homes and families as she passes. It also unites the sea and the land.

The Festa do Mar is more than just a festival. It expresses the faith, gratitude and unity of a community shaped by the sea. Through this annual celebration, Cascais keeps alive a beautiful tradition that links the past and the present, faith and culture, the sea and the land.
